Charles Stanley’s managed portfolio service is now available to review in Analyser as part of your MPS due diligence.
Charles Stanley’s origins trace back to 1792, making it one of the oldest firms on the London Stock Exchange.
The company operates a 35-strong research and asset management team, and a key part of its approach is to mitigate against what it calls ‘home bias’.
As a result, it says its multi-asset portfolios tend to have lower levels of UK equities compared to other providers, as the firm believes there are stronger opportunities in other global equity markets.
It launched its MPS proposition in January 2004 and has £978m in assets under management in its MPS ranges as at 31 March 2023.
There are five ranges available:
– Charles Stanley Blended MPS
– Charles Stanley Dynamic Passive MPS
– Charles Stanley Multi Manager Income MPS
– Charles Stanley Multi Manager Total Return MPS
– Charles Stanley Responsible MPS
The portfolios are risk-rated by Dynamic Planner, Defaqto, Synaptic and FinaMetrica.
The Responsible MPS range was launched in March 2022, and all Charles Stanley’s model portfolios are currently ESG rated as at least ‘A’ by MSCI.
Advisers can access the portfolios either directly or through a range of platforms. Clients can access the MPS ranges via a third-party platform with investments starting from £1,000.
Charles Stanley head of strategic partnerships Tom Hawkins says: “We are delighted that our models are now available on the lang cat’s Analyser.
“We have a long track record of helping advisers and their clients meet their objectives, whether through our model solutions or creating something more customised to meet their bespoke needs. We believe that combining our proprietary investment process with a personalised service perfectly places us to help advisers deliver good outcomes to their clients.”
