New platform switching functionality launches in Analyser

Supporting advice professionals with platform-to-platform transfers is a key focus of our latest Analyser update, alongside new features to help streamline provider relationships.

Moving clients between platforms can be complex and time-consuming. While we can’t control industry-wide transfer processes, we can help advisers better document and justify their platform switching recommendations – especially important under Consumer Duty.

Enhanced platform switching reports

Our new functionality allows advice professionals to create detailed reports specifically designed for platform transfers. These build upon our existing client review capabilities but add templated justifications for recommending a new platform over an existing one.

The templates acknowledge that switching decisions often go beyond pure cost considerations. Better at-retirement functionality, improved service standards or features better suited to a client’s circumstances all play their part in the decision-making process.

Advisers can use these templates as a starting point or create their own custom justifications. Either way, the system provides a clear audit trail that integrates with your firm’s strategic-level due diligence.

Introducing provider introductions

We’ve also launched a new ‘Provider Introduction’ feature in response to adviser feedback. When conducting platform or MPS due diligence, you can now opt to connect directly with providers you’re interested in working with.

This feature appears at the end of due diligence reports, in comparisons and in the directory. Unlike some industry models, this is strictly opt-in – we don’t trade adviser data or enable unsolicited sales approaches. If you want to speak with a provider, you control that process.

Getting started

These enhancements follow our recent integration with Avenir to support more efficient reporting, and there are more developments in the pipeline.
